Sapient summer cruise

Sometimes a company does random things to keep its employees happy and engaged. Things like social events such as company bowling or BBQ. But when Sapient Toronto office announced that this year's summer event is cruise on lake Ontario, A.K.A put me on a boat, I thought "uh oh, that can't be good. Are they putting me on a boat and shipping me back to China?". It turned out wasn't the case and I had a good time.

Before I saw the cruise I thought it was going to be a tiny boat that cram everyone together. Nope, Sapient did not cheap out. The entire ship was chartered by Sapient, and the ship is actually very big.
Ladies and gentlemen please meet Capt. Matthew Flinders. That's the name of the ship, not the name of the captain. The captain's name is probably something like USS Boat.

The boat has two bars, and we did not have to give real money for exchange of the drinks. Here you see my surprised face when I heard free drinks.

The inside of the ship was not that bad. There were 3 levels, a bar on the main level, and a bar on the second level, and nothing on the top deck. For some reason everyone crammed onto the top deck leaving the bottom levels for only a few lonely souls.

For some strange purposes there was a large bed on the second level, with lots of pillows. For that reason we took a picture with it. "We" as in me and my co-worker here. No he's not blind. Yes he has a name. This picture is so wrong on so many levels. I should have never placed my beer bottle at that position, and I have no idea what's with the other guy's fast hand motion that's making it blurry.

The boat took us around the Centre Island in a beautiful weather.
When I woke up, I was Fresh Off the Boat in Toronto.
